July 2019 Water Trial

A two-day water trial will be held in accordance with the provisions of the current Portuguese Water Dog Club of America (PWDCA) water trial manual and updates, copies of which may be downloaded at no charge from the PWDCA website.

Judge: Sarah Kahn

Join us at Deep Lake for our first water trial of the 2019 season! The Premium List and online entry will be available in early May, so keep a lookout for that information. We’ll also have our Third Annual Senior Challenge and a Ducky Derby benefit as well. More info coming soon!

Accommodation Information

Advance planning – there are a couple of camping options in the area. Kanaskat-Palmer State Park is nice but fills very rapidly. Reservations will be available after Dec 15, 2018.

Another camping option is the RV park at the Enumclaw Expo Center. It’s right at the Expo center with easy access to town and the trial site.

Hotel accommodations – **UPDATE** there is a large private event over the trial weekend that has booked a large number of rooms at the Rodeway Inn in Enumclaw which has been the main option for lodging during the trial. There are currently no rooms available at the Rodeway. More rooms may open after their block hold expires in early April. Check back for further information.

The other hotel option in Enumclaw is the GuestHouse which does have rooms available as of early March. Cost is $150 per night for a double queen, plus $10 pet fee. Please contact them right away to make a reservation if you think you may want a hotel room for the trial weekend. They will not allow us to hold a room block for the event, so you must make a personal reservation.
