Morning Grooming Session

  • Time: 9:30 am to 11:30 am

The first portion of the session is basic …no experience necessary. We will discuss equipment, bathing, teeth, and toenails. During the BASIC portion, experienced groomers are invited to start grooming their dogs while listening.

Next, we will move to PWD specific grooming with your dog on the table. At this time trainers will move around the room and provide 1:1 training. We will DEEP DIVE into correct head shaping, ears, the PWD tail, and techniques. This portion is for beginner to grooming pro for that exact PWD look.

What to bring: clean dog, chair (some available), lots of treats, grooming table if you have, grooming equipment, and positive attitude.

Lunch Break and Supervised Doggy Field Romp

  • Time: 11:30 am to 12:30 pm

Afternoon Handling Session

Time: 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm

Focus is on training “games” you play with your dog to get them ready to shine in the ring, drive when you ask, free stack, etc. Portions will be divided to give beginners appropriate level easier tasks, while experienced handlers will be given challenges.  Dogs will be allowed several breaks, so this class is appropriate for young pups as well as older dogs. Handlers may bring more than one dog to assure that no dog is overworked. No pre-training required.

What to bring: crate, treats, show lead, front attached food pouch if you have (a few loaners will be available), open mind and a dog of any age or emotional disposition.

Cost

  • Member: $30 per session or $55 for both
  • Non-member:  $35 per session or $65 for both
